Berber is the method of construction, not the material it is made from. The best way to identify it is go to a large carpet store and ask for samples of all the berber styles they carry. You will soon memorize what they look like and recognize them when you see them in the homes.

hi guys- what is the best way to know if the carpet you are going to clean is a berber? i know berber is a looped design or so i've been told. is there a simple way to determine this or what? i hope this isn't a dumb question. thanks.
