I use Teflon and Scotchgard but I also use Ultraseal on top it is a silicone base product

They both are water based SG use to make Teflon.  You would need a lot of the stuff they sell in a can to cover your carpet.  They would also be putting it on dry carpet, works better when carpet is wet.  The stuff you see in the DIY cleaners are also not as concentrated.

Teflon is really Gully thats why we use it. Just ask Stienhart.

the problem I see with using 3m Scotchguard is that the average Joe can buy it like Cosco and the like. So as a add-on sale itd kinda hard. wouldn't you'all think?

Both have their pros and con. Scotchguard is oil based, teflon is water based.

I'll let in experienced cleaners sort-out the difference.
