Hi all,
I'm talking with a carpet cleaner about sending him some leads of people calling in for carpet and upholstery cleaning services. But I'm not sure what their value is. So I'll need to work backwards.
What's a ballpark of your average service call fee? I'd guess around $200-$300, is that reasonable?
Thanks

It varies so much depending what your market is (low, medium, high end market) and where you live(Big City, Small Town, Rural) that it would be hard to put a value on it without much more information.

Local rate (average job) here is a little over $100. Our average is over $600 though because we have the highest rate in our city.

As has been said, it depends on the area. (Don't bother reading anything LArugcleaning writes--I think he's an seo'er jumping at opportunities to post.) In my area, 200.00 is about average, which I say because I'm medium-priced and that's my own rough average.
This only barely helps you determine what the leads are worth though. How hot are the leads? Are they the Glengarry leads? I've used warm-hot lead services, and they generally fall within $10-$20 per lead. If you aren't screening the calls, taking info, setting up the job, or anything--that is, if all you're doing is just passing along a number, then I think $5-$10 a lead is a good way to make an easy buck. Or, you could expand your own business's services to include carpet cleaning and then sub the work out to this guy. It's tough to say without better information.

The situation in Romania is different, you can charge more if you do rural Garden cleaning because there rich people usually live in touristic villages. There the rates start from 300-400$, and we are not the most expensive company. ;) |

I have a min service charge per house of $100.00
I use .28 cents psf as a "guide" for pricing. I am wondering what others use as a min service charge per house??? I do get a few calls from folks who don't want to spend a 100 and they usually rent a machine themselves from Home Depot.

Most likely the average residential charge will not be as much as it was years ago. Most new homes only have carpet in the bedrooms, maybe the familyroom, and the basement if finished. I would think the $100.00 range would be a decent average to base your service on.

Just like hotels and airline ticket prices our minimum charge goes up when we are busier, like summer and fall, and is lower in the winter when business is slower.
