Mild winter thus far Ed. You will see $90 oil this year when that changes. China is not going away, which is why low oil prices($30 or less) are a thing of the past. The new reality is $40 to $90 oil or higher for the rest of the decade. There will NOT be WW3 out of it either. The world will adjust, and fuel cell and hybrid technolody will take up the slack.

Andy: Mild on the US Eastern seaboard. In the world of US oil demand that is the main area that counts. If it is mild there, oil goes nowhere but down. It does not matter if Prince George and Calgary sit at minus 40 for the rest of the winter when it comes to the price of the oil. The only thing that counts are how much the #1 user and #2 users of it consume. Right now that is the USA and China in that order. Expect that to change in about 5 years time. By then, more cars will be in China than the USA, and the amount of manufactured goods will be greater in China too.

When you live in the oil capital of Canada, everyone does either directly or indirectly.I am subscribed to 3 industry newsletters that keep me informed to what is going on, but alot of this info is also on the internet for anyone that wants to pay attention as well.
