High quality color printer. High quality paper. A good marketing pitch on the flyer. Walk 200 flyers a day over 80 selected middle class neighborhoods then repeat. Each house will receive a flyer with some sort of special once every four months.. This is what I am going to use my first few months to a year or longer.. Of course other commercial advertisements will be used also along the way with referals, and repeat business. I was wondering if any one else has tried this.. I know it isnt the easiest way but it is a cheap effective way I believe.. |

I tend to think my flyers work in very rich neighboorhoods and lower class areas but they own the homes. |

full color, 3 coupons to a page. Use paper cutter to break them into 3 coupons. Keeps things cheaper for me without sacrificing quality. Always use the same coupon with the 2 room, 5 room and upholstery special.
I market the same way you do. Always hit the same neighborhoods and do it every month. Here is why: Avg 1 in 3 homes use pros to clean carpet Avg 21 months between cleanings We rarely know who uses pros and if this is the monthor a year from now. Getting our name in front of the prospect every month is name recognition done cheaply. Bottom line is we never know who is going to buy a cleaning each moth but we do know the ones who will get the service done this month get it from somebody and that somebody might as well be us. Nearly every customer of mine comes from one large development and another pro lives there. If you have ever fished, you know you have to present the lure several times sometimes before you get a strike from the fish who was there fully aware of each cast but forgetting the previous casts. This approach to marketing is similar as are TV ads. |

I am speaking of ads that are not acted upon. Whether they are yours or those of your competitors.
