I stopped because I didn't like doing free rooms.

Seriously, my business starting generating repeats and referrals. Now I only run a YP ad and nothing else. I guess I could probably do more if I advertised, but I hate spending money and getting very little in return

I have at least 1500 in my database. That may not seem like a lot, but some of them represent thousands of dollars a year

Good point. The more of the other guys customers you do, the less he does. Unless of course, he takes yours. Then you would be trading customers. Does that make sense?
