it all depends on the pulley size....you need the pulley to be smaller on the blower...

hey doug...the funny thing is...my cleanco had a roots blower and a cat pump what makes it any different from your 405???...lol

405 has way more bells and whistle that can and will get screwed up...lol

Steamer,
So which one did you settle on?, Someone once told me you could get shafts with high speed bearings put in them at TSC , as for clutches, an AC clutch will work fine if you taper the end of the shaft to fit.
Cleanco`s rule!
It`s not how far you fall...it`s how high you bounce back up...

I heard that cleanco doesn't want to sell me a shaft....

They build them but they don't back them....

Why the hell would I buy a cleanco shaft... really I just wanted to hear their outragous price to find out if I was getting a good deal some place else.

It would cost me over 6 grand with labour through an authorized cleanco distributor to get that old cleanco classic into a new truck..

might as well get a new one.

If I had to do over again...I would never buy cleanco... really it's a big rip-off piece of SHIZAT!

I don't want any equipment where I'm not allowed to work on it myself....

$3300 dollars for a shaft and $1500 for a engine kit...bahahahahaha
not including shipping taxes or installation...

you got to be kidding me.....I was born yesterday, but with a socket wrench in my hand....I'm no fool

$500 dollar worth of parts and a little know how I can get better than their results.

you wonder why carpet cleaners go out of business... well it's places like cleanco that cause it.

Steamer

Give up on it, your whipping a dead horse that should have been shot years ago.  Only you and your mechanical aptitude could maybe breath life back into your TM for a limited time before it frustrates you again with some thing else.

Think about it, the additional cost of fuel for a PTO could make the payment on a much less fuel burning unit.  Don't be Fuelish, look at the new Liberty Power Clean.

Steamer you are one in a hundred when it comes to repairing and refurbishing and why not use that talent to repair your own stuff.  If every one had the talent to clean their own carpets you and I would be out of business.  Therefore many choose professionals to clean their homes because they lack the cleaning skills. They do not go broke doing it, they are happy someone provides the service for them and happy to pay and get on with there lives and business.

we all need to make money but c'mon...lol

thats murder in the 3rd degree!!!!

I will say that any machine is good...if your only doing 2 to 5 jobs a week...but a high volume cleaner needs something that will last...

a TM unit is not disposable... it can be fixed....

My prochem legend is proof....a 1995 machine that is still running...with over half a million houses served!

there is service and then there is service...

to move a unit I already own from one truck to another shouldn't cost over 6 grand... do you agree???

it forces a guy to buy a new one...and then in 5 years your back to where you started from...

TM UNIT
1 pump
1 blower
1 or 2 tanks
some fancy wiring

and some carpet to clean....PRICELESS

That's why I do my own repairs. Too expensive to have it serviced at the dealership. If you can't fix it yourself, and there isn't a dealer within 50 miles of you, don't buy it.Ouch

That said, I will give Fibreclean credit for excellent telephone support. Randy is very knowledgeable and helpfulThumbs Up
