Hey everyone...need some help regarding Enzall. I work in a 125 bed Long Term Care facility with approx. 100,000 sq. ft. of powerbond carpet. I recently extracted all the corridors in the building using Enzall as my prespray. Coffee was the biggest culprit stain wise...my question is... why did everywhere I pre-treated, leave a brownish "stain" when the carpet dried?? I mixed according to label, let dwell 10-15 mins. before extracting. It's almost like it broke down the coffee, but then the extraction process failed to pick it up. Any help from this forum is greatly appreciated!!!

What are you using to extract? Portable? Did you put a post treatment on it to neutralize it?

Enz-All is very high PH. It sounds like you left the carpet in too high of a PH state. I would try to go back and extract with an acid rinse. I think that will work for you. When using any high PH prespray it is important to counteract the PH during the extraction phase. Hope this helps.

It could always be worse. I mean you could be some carpet stain being emulsified by pre-spray all the while watching a wand spraying really hot solution aiming stright for you.

sounds like a classic case of alkaline burn. Enzall has a very high ph.... use some all fiber rinse and watch the spots dissappear..
