Get it clean, get it dry as one industry guru says. If its synthetic, it shouldn't be a problem.

| Don't understand why you use both a prespray and an emulsifier. Likely causing stiff carpets that resoil quickly. | |

| I've tried different systems. Never had that problem. I did notice better cleaning though. | |

I use a 2 ounce scoop of emulsifier for 10 gallons of water. I recover 80 to 85% of the water. I've cleaned anywhere between 2 to 3 hundred square feet. I prespray, but only in discoloured traffic areas. How much residue can I leave in that entire area? I don't figure much. The emulsifier I use is a powder, so it should return to a powder state and vacuum off. The increase in cleaning ability by proper use, not overuse, of an rinse agent is very beneficial.

Willy it is not the 85% you get out it is the 15% you leave in that can cause the problem. | |

Use a prespry and a Rinsing agent in your tank. Clean it there if possible and dry fast if you have a blower. Like cmaster said .......if its synthetic, it shouldn't be a problem.
