Basic rule of thumb:
Running a true 1200 psi pump would require an amp draw of 15 amps. One total cord.
That would mean that the other cord would have to run either a single 3 stage, or a dual 2 stage unit. Otherwise, any more than this would be a constant problem of blowing circuits, etc...(power draw). Because I don't care who configures what, you can't cheat "Mother Watts"!
Personally for me, I would purchase a high-performance system for carpet cleaning FIRST; then use a sensible option and very effective alternative if and when the cleaning of hard floor surfaces.
But, that's my opinion and preference based on my experience(s) and that of many others.

I wish Cross American made a 1200 Psi model, then I wouldn't have a problem deciding on a porty, because I know there 500 Psi Recoil XPS is top notch and I have heard nothing but good things about it, but I don't want to buy 2 machines I just want one.

I was looking at the M12, how it would perform carpet with only 250 Psi was my only concern, have you ever used it on carpet?
I was steered away from the M12 and pointed toward the Sandia Sniper 1200 which is actually the same exact machine as the Hydro-Force Olympus 1200 just cheaper, I just don't know which one to pick and my heads in a spin, because they all seem to be good machines, but I won't really know til I've spent my money and i really don't want to waste it on something I am not going to be satisfied with . |

I have the Mytee M12. I myself don't do carpets but wasn't sure if I was gonna do them when purchasing. There's lots of heat for carpets but with any porty for tile, the heater can't keep up because of the amount of water being used. I just hook up the custy's hot water tap.
