Had a great time at your shop today Ted. I got to meet such notables a Superglide and Doug. Both are nice guys in person by the way and I will find it hard to rip into them in the future! But I am sure I will find something to raise controversy over. Red vanish did kick butt. We will post some pics soon. Mr. IICRC (Lee) and his two part 'Red Relief' + his magic light (chemical accelerator) + oreck cordless iron + damp rag barely budged the red spot. Stick to demoing the cimex because you give OP a bad name.
When was the last time you cleaned? I am sorry I wasn't there to see
you fight with the little 1/2 hp CCS machine (with all that sweat
running from your brow) and lose! I admire your determination though.
Little Joshua (8 years old) was able to master that baby in Kentucky
and even tried his hand at the 1 hp Conqueror at Ted's. Handsome John was also giving Diva a hard time as well. But it
was all in good fun. And yes, she is SOOOOOOOOOO much better
looking than you!!!!
I will admit we had not experienced the cleaning of wool carpet before and it was a learning experience. Upon talking to Padman we now know how to tackle the situation. And on nylon carpet and olefin (over 95% of carpet) it kicked butt. I will also admit that I was taken aback and amazed at how clean and bright the wool carpet looked WET after being cleaned with the rx-20, steamin deamon, and especially the rotovac BUT if you stuck around and seen it dry it looked like SH..!!!!!!!!! If the choice was to clean the wool carpet in the customer's house and leave (not a smart thing to do) then more time would have been wasted with a call back because of the wick back. Ironically the area of the carpet that looked the best after drying was where the Cimex (Lee) and OP cleaned. Yes, Lee your scrub and run machine deserves some props for its job on wool. It was a fun day and Ted, Linda, Gloria, and Mike deserve a lot of credit for putting together such a successful event. I hope you made a profit off the day's activities. You should seriously consider holding a similar event in the Spring or Summer (like you were talking about Ted) so we can take over the parking lot and all put on a show. And Steamer, I'm disappointed in you. You couldn't even spare a few hours for us fellow board members and Ted especially. Your buddy Doug even found the time to come and show his face. Met your 'relative' though. He's personable and QUIET. Somehow I don't picture you being as QUIET!

First and formost let me say John gave me one hell of a hard time too and I actually know how to use an OP machine. My looks have nothing to do with my running a machine and have no bearing on weather or not the work I do will actually CLEAN a carpet. Secondly if you would have waited until later in the the evening the wool carpet, didn't look so good when it dried. It looked great wet but dry... that was questionable. I'll let Gmoney address that further!!! The tire marks on the wool carpet... OP got them out first. Handsome Johns concoction spotter took it out too EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING left it there as plain as day!!! On the nylon carpet OP Kicked A$$!!!! And on red stain removal RED VANISH kicked a$$. Now I will say this, this was our first type of demo day. We learned a lot and will be more prepared for the next one. We also had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting certain people from this forum. I hope to see most of you again!!

Mr. Steamer: I am pissed. I drove all the way to the GTA just to meet you and you don't show? What's with that? Well they let me live. But I had to tell them it was you who made me post all those terrible things.

We had a blast today. Diva and gmoney challenged a Cleanmore with an RX 20 on a wool rug. It wasn't pretty. I'll tell you though their enthusiasm goes a long way. Handsome John sits there and mocks me using the OP and then when Diva uses it he is all goo goo. Guess she is better looking than me |

We all missed ya Steamer...maybe next time. Was a good showing today...I think these kind of things should be held more often. Great for the industry and keeps peoples interest. Stay tuned for some great demo pictures. |
