Having used truck mounts for the past 15 years (4 diferent units) I can tell you it does make a difference. Propane was the best till now. You have got to have the heat, the vacuum and the right chemicals or you will see the diference, if you care to look. There are guys with portables, guys with truck mounts and there are professionals. Guys who will work to achieve their goal, no matter what equipment they have.

Sorry.I disagree. Cleaning carpets "right" is a job, talent, science, what-ever................ It is a combination of the right eqipement, the right know -how and the right chemicals. You can adjst any of these factors into the equation and get close to the same results.

Your Granny should have beaten you hanging on the clothes line Never did the pails of hot water trick, too simple of an idea I suppose...........I like the complicated more dramatic approach where I can be the star of the show Adwa, he would have gotten a condensed version, I would have left out all the 3 letter words, and all vowels. Anybody who has ever used tide and a bucket knows it turns brown REALLY QUICK. I have been doing this for a long time 'rider. Its not like I haven't "been there and done that". If you have been doing it as long as you say I am really shocked that you don't use "the oldest trick in the book". Used to be (in the early '80s) when we got the very dirtiest carpet we just poured pails of hot water on it and sucked it right back out. Nothing did better than that. And it didn't resoil. And as for my Gram, she beat the rugs on a cloths line. |

General Lee...........just ask your Grand-mother how she cleaned her rugs....... For the hell of a promotion stunt it I've done that back in the late 80's, as a demo in a shopping center using normal people passing by who volenteered to use a brush, soap & a shop-vac........then another using an ElectroLux Shapooer........a rented grocery store portable.........and my Truckmount ( 1985 Cleanco ) The carpet came clean using all methods, but my demo was aimed for them to call me to do it faster, better ( cause the cleanablity is constant ) no mess, and they can sit and have a cup of coffee while I do all the manual labour.I did not want to try to promote that a truckmount was the best thing since sliced bread I just wanted to show them that I can do it for them using a better& faster method with less effort. I see you still like to make this carpet cleaning stuff a science General Nightrider Edited by nightrider |

Good Post BarwBarn, yes carpet clean is very serious, it comes just before window cleaning and right after having a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Your machine is just a tool that does nothing more than make noise, you are the carpet cleaner..........perhaps with the other unit you were less motivated to do a good job.............now you are. I can clean the same carpet with a brush, pail of water( with Tide ) a dry rag & a shop vac, and the result will be the same as a truckmount Nightrider |

So Steamer do you charge more for wall cleaning or is that included in your standard $2.50 per room including gard price?
