itis no longer wise to use the customer's water unless they have a softwater tap you can use. hard water is not real good on the unit. I use both as I have water softeners for both trucks if needed.

Use the custys water. I have never had a problem. Now there have been times when I have been cleaning apts and they did not have an exterior water hook up, then I wish I had a fresh water tank. My area also does not have much hard water. I also run a gallon of white vinegar through the system every 100 hours or so.

We have always used the customers' water, and no one has ever complained or wanted a discount. It is a pain in the neck when there is no exterior hook-up for apartment cleaning. We also had to buy a bunch of adaptors for exterior water hook-ups for commercial jobs.
