Can anyone let me know if using red floor pad causes damage to carpets? I came across this recently and can not believe that someone would clean carpets this way. My peer's have told me that they don't believe that this is happening but i've seen it and it was not used with a Cimex machine. So i would like anyone to enlighten me on this procedure.

Sure it.........will......too course.
![]() ![]() You might want to post this on the VLM section and get
quicker response from the VLM'ers like Duck and Soil..
![]() They would know for sure.
![]() White is the softer pad unless you go with the cotton 1's...

I would not recommend using a floor pad on carpet. It is like using course grit sandpaper for a fine finish. Nothing wrong with the tool, something wrong with the craftsman.

Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

If you want to ruin the texture of the yarns use a red pad on the carpet.

No wonder carpet mills hate any cleaning method that involves a rotary machine. Might as well for full out and use a black pad..

For a nasty restaurant yes, anything else stick with beige, white, or microfiber depending on the type of carpet.

I agree for nasty restaurants also nasty low pile glue down.
I will say if you buy the cheap pad it might bleed. Otherwise
white, beige microfiber ,cotton.

Why not do it right and hot water extract it. Or pre scrub and than extract it.

The use of a red pad is just retarded.
Crank the heat and post pad and all will be okay
