I to also offer both cleaning methods. I believe a prescrub with a brush in traffic areas will improve results with 175 rpm bonnet cleaning; as it does with steam cleaning

Bonnet or spin pad cleaning is a low-moisture carpet cleaning method often called "dry cleaning," though it does use some liquid. A cleaning solution is lightly sprayed onto the carpet, then an absorbent pad attached to a floor machine buffs the surface, lifting soil into the pad. Pads must be changed when they get dirty and cleaned before reuse.
