Brass absorbs cold from what they tell me and that is why the brass would freeze and crack at temperatures above freezing like 35 degrees. That Minnesota carpet cleaning business costed me a lot of brass fittings. Use stainless steel.

I don't know if it's the heat, or the pressure. We're using 1500 psi on grout. Most couplers are locked up after a day or two. The machine runs 6 hours a day, 3 days a week.

Little tip I got the other day..... Stainless are a lot more expensive but as far as quickconnects go the part that wears out is the male end and not that often does the female fitting wear out so use ss male fittings and the cheaper brass female QCs. Saves a lot of $$$

I find that the females go faster...the male end can be brass...because the male brass last just as long as the male stainless

Brass expands and contracts much more than stainless steel - that in itself is a problem just waiting to develop. I would not mix the two metals in this way.

I heard that is a very expensive option on an inflatable. Are they hard to get back into the bag when you are done with them. A bag full of females?? where the hell do you live???
