Hi there.
Is encapsulation al hype or is it the next big thing in carpet cleaning? I am starting up my own business and I was looking at a truckmount setup, but now I'm also looking at a cimex setup. I have experience with truck mount cleaning (20 years) and have cleaning industry qualifications so experience and knowledge is not an issue. But encapsulation is something I haven't seen before and I'm interested to hear your opinions on whether it is worth investigating. Obvious benefits I can see is that it is cheap to setup and VLM so drying times and wick back etc not an issue. How does it handle stains such as drink dyes etc, or do I need an extraction unit and standard stain removal chemicals for those? Does it work as well in the residential sector as commercial? Thanks for your advice, great site BTW. |

I think it's best used in commercial applications, especially office carpet. Still, my experience with Xerion on residential carpet has been really positive. I just use DFC most of the time instead because it can be used for bonneting or hwe just as easily. Why have two bonneting formulas?
On that topic, just incase, there are other bonneting products that aren't "encapsulation." Many of us like Chemspec DFC for bonneting, and it's cheaper than the encap products I've seen. But I do keep some Encapuclean w/Maxim (stain guard), which is what I use in commercial bonneting situations where I've added stain guard to the sale. |

Thanks for the extra info guys.
I'm doing residential as well as commercial so I'll stick with a TM and look at adding a Cimex for commercial clients. |
