Carpet Cleaners,Does anyone still do that

LOL, I am an old fart that loves it, but then again have since I was 20 so then I wasn't an old fart and BTW I loved it then too.

 

I would say the AVERAGE age of a carpet cleaner is right around 34 years old.

Hi Young Padman, from one old fart to another.

I turn 60 next March.

This is my 33rd year in the game, so I must've been a young fart about 27 when I started.

Mr Steamer, I don't know what you base your assumptions on.

I know of some young people that don't want to be involved, because it does not fit their image with their friends, they would rather be on a computer in some office working for a pittance.

To much investment for a crap return  

Don't come  to me because you know the value of your work and apparently charge accordingly. I trust that is not the case

I feel that I know what I am worth, and I get it. The jobs I miss out on, are usually on price, and I won't lower my standards just to get a job.

I know of a 19 year old, that has more qualifications than most carpet cleaners going.

He recently purchased his first warehouse, about 10,000 square feet.

This kid is going places in our industry down under.

When I get my creaky knees replaced, I reckon I'll have another 20 years in me, to train the young'uns, you know, all those 30 year olds, that will be on the scrap heap soon.

Hey Shorty, you sound like you have enjoyed this career as well, personally I love this business and industry, a lot of young people starting out, but we have to convince them this is NOT a get rich quick scheme; Cleaning carpets is an easy way to make big money IF you have the work, so many have strong backs but weak minds when it comes to getting work or understanding how to handle and PLEASE customers so that thier business's will flourish.
