Ted.........I thought you said before in another post in the marketing section under the post of PRICING........that carpet cleaners don't buy price they buy quality product.......now you say they buy " lower........lower...........lower pricing.........

Kleen Kuip generally keep very few if any units with dual 3-stage vacs in stock. It's nice to have the availability of that overdrive suction but a lot cleaners prefer to keep it simple with only one electrical cord and most are always looking for lower, lower pricing.

no extension cords
did not use brush, only already wet bonnet
manufacturer said TFB we are SOL.

dennis_is_ok,

You purchased your unit from the wrong people. Kleen Kuip would either correct it's problem, switch you to something else or cheerfully refund your money. You simply cannot do business any other way in our industry as it's too small and bad news travels fast.
 
Other things to look at:
 
  1. Are you running it with extention cords?
  2. If so, is the gauge of the cord higher or lower than the units cord?
  3. Are you operating your unit in older building corridors? They are generally wired for vacuum cleaners.
  4. Are you attempting to run this with a new brisk shampoo brush with harsh brissels? Brush should be broken-in on concrete first to eliminate sharpness.
  5. You say you can't return it. Have you spoken with the manufacturer about this? As they are a long standing company and are always willing to oblige.

People are telling the guy to plug here and plug there. In a big house you can not do that with two 20' cords.

The few hundred feet of extention cords on carpet cleaning machines is your problem. Only use the shortest, most heavy-duty extention cord that you can. Extention cords draw more amps, slow down your blowers and burn them out prematurely.

Kitchen receptacles in newer homes are fused at 20 amps, and split, so you can run off the top and bottom of the rec. Other dedicated circuits are referigerator, sump pump, microwave, 120v on stove washing machine.  You  may not have as many problems if you use large sized (14 or 12 AWG) extension cords, the smaller cords will heat up under load and trip breakers or blow fuses.
It`s not how far you fall...it`s how high you bounce back up...

I dunno about TO, BUT in Vancouver, I use one to the wall in the kitchen, one to the stove and one in a seperate wall outlet. 3 cords, no grief.
Certified to be certifiable.

Plug into the kitchen & the bathrooms those are usually 20 amps. If you are running Dul stage 3 you have to plug in each cord on seprate circuits.
