Have any of you water damage specialists tried to offer a cashback for insurance claims? Or would this be deemed as unethical to insurance companies

Harvey Harvey Harvey?????? What are you thinking??  I would suggest you attend a seminar.  It is becomming hard enough as it is to deal with insurance companies.  But you may find some who personally would take your cashback.  But I think it would be called a PROMOTIAL GRETUITY (Kickback) not real echical.

Sorry Doug I may not have worded that right. The direction of the cashback rebate would not be directed toward the insurance company but instead towards the insured as a rebate toward their deductable. Let me know what you think

Harvey:  Wtih regards to the deductible I find it easier to allow the insured to work.  There is always something like some nic naks of other personal items that you can have them look after and pay them and get the same results regarding satisfaction.  To just give then a rebate.  I think you would be asking for trouble especially if the claim starts to go sour with regards to a problem regarding the adjuster or scope of work who knows.  But the last thing you need is an adjuster preceiveing you are padding the bill to include some of the deductible weather you are or not.  The deductible is a fact of life you are not a windshield man who can hide these things.  Bodyshops have to collect but they get to keep the car till it is paid. You cannot reflood or resomke the house.  Just make sure before you start you get the authorization whith regards to when the deductible is to be paid and you should have no problems.
