    I've been doing a sort of Chem-Dry imatation low moisture Bonnet cleaning process since 1999. I've been using my Galaxy Portable this fall for my condo accounts doing the deep cleans before snow birds fill up the condos for the winter since drying time is not an issue. I figured this would rinse the residues better. This style of carpet cleaning in the beach condos has been widely popular for quite a while but has slowly been giving way to Hot water extraction in the last year. This is why I'm now moving in that direction. One thing I've never understood is why using a Pre-spray and rinsing with a detergent doesn't leave a dirt atttracting residue? Can somebody explain why this is so? Seems to me that soap on top of soap would leave a soapy residue.    What about soap free rinse cleaners such as Procyon, Chemspec DFC, Bridgepoint Prolon ect ect? I tried rinsing with the DFC and it didn't do too well. Could it be because my Galaxy Portable is only a 200 PSI unit?

Liquid Formula 90 is one of the detergents I was considering. Kind of Expensive but it is highly concentrated and would save $ in shipping in the end. Almost all of my work with the Portable will be unoccupied condo units on the beach so a Higher PH is OK but I will run into Wool Oriental Rugs from time to time. Wouldn't the 10 PH of Formula 90 be pushing it on Wool Rugs?

The best advice I have always given, is purchase your chemical products from the same source as your purchase of equipment.

 

Down the road if you should have an issue over repairs and warranty, no one can blame it on the chemicals you are using since they recommended it for you to use.

Chemspec one clean is garbage, Prekleen is way better and safe on 5th generation, liquid 90 is a good emulsifier also. Prochem also makes good products

Acid rinses are way overrated for every day cleaning. Use a good emulsifier
