Fabric Protection

I find it hard to believe we have so few posts in our Fabric Protection Forum.

Carpet and fabric protection can make you more money than cleaning.

Example:
How long does it take you to make $100.00 carpet cleaning? (Maybe one or two hours)

How long does it take you to make $100.00 spraying protectant? (Maybe 20 minutes or less)

Are you aware of companies who do extremely well spraying protectant only? Some of these companies cross-over to cleaning and are generally not impressed with the profit comparison.

People purchase new carpet and fabric that is protected at the manufacturer level and get warranty + guarantee. Or pay extra for spraying at point of sale. This process has already been promoted and sold for you by the store sales clerk or t.v. Why don’t you sell a topping-up of protectant a year or so later. $$$$$

Dupont (Teflon) and 3M (Scotchguard) make extremely high quality products that work very well if applied at manufacturer specifications. We find that many companies want to just spray HOT CAMEL PEE on the carpet and call it Scotchguard, Teflon Guard, Shield Seal and so on.

No wonder customers and cleaners alike have no or low confidence in these products. Buy the proper quality product, spray the proper amount with the proper spraying equipment and charge the proper price. You say people won’t pay extra. I say they still sell BMW, Buick, and Cadillac. Why not associate yourself with a big name like 3M and Dupont? Put the logo on your van, your invoices and your forehead if necessary.

Associate with winners!
It rubs off on you.
